| Tony and Heidi Yale emigrated from Australia in 2008 to run a real ale pub whilst continuing to enjoy their love of travel thru Great Britain and Europe. |
| To this end they had been the landlords of another major real ale pub in Newark for two years before deciding to work with Michael Thurlby and the Prince Rupert. |
| Heidi and Tony's reputation for providing well cared for beer, live music and a safe friendly atmosphere is a fine marriage with Michael's award winning pub restorations and great food offerings. |
The opening and first few weeks trading has shown that the Prince Rupert has filled a gap in the Newark pub scene that has been missing for quite some time, a quality drinking and dining establishment with a refreshingly friendly vibe.
